My name is Noortje van Wulfen, born in the Netherlands and now very much at home in Cape Town, South Africa. I specialise in telling human stories through honest, powerful photography across the African continent.

I collaborate with NGOs, charities, NPOs, and corporate foundations to create visual stories that connect with people and bring important work to life.

In a crowded digital world, strong visual storytelling matters more than ever. The right images don’t just capture attention, they create understanding, spark conversation, and inspire change.

Working with a locally based photographer offers practical advantages, including lower travel costs, a smaller carbon footprint, faster turnaround times, and on-the-ground experience. Most importantly, it allows me to build trust with the communities and individuals whose stories are being shared. That trust gives an image depth, honesty, and integrity.
